The majority of images in this album were taken along the Wild Atlantic Way or in the East / South East region of Ireland. The Wild Atlantic Way, is one of the longest defined coastal route in the world. It winds its way all along the Irish west coast from the Inishowen Peninsula in the north down to the of Kinsale, County Cork. The route being approximately 2600km in length, winds its way through picturesque villages and towns, through remote countryside, along the Atlantic coastline on the west of Ireland. The constant meeting of water, land, beaches, cliffs, roads and beautiful terrain has cultural links deeply embedded in Irish history and a must see for any photographer or enthusiast interested in culture and history. The scenery in County Wicklow, referred to as “The Garden of Ireland” is also stunning. The gallery below does not do the natural beauty of the area justice but aims to depict some scenic areas along the route.
